Babies, Bottles and Bouncing!
The end of February saw our new baby animals arrive at the farm! We welcomed six baby goat kids, four saddleback piglets and two baby lambs with their mum in tow. We also welcomed two new Golden Guernsey Goats, a Pygmy with kid and our first rare breed goat - The Bagot!
Our new babies settled in beautifully and heralded the start of Spring on the farm. Toddler Farm enjoyed their first visit to Woodchurch Farm (our twinned Quex Farm) where we learnt about the machinery and barns integral to the farming of crops in the UK. Our largest bouncing pillow reopened fully and was enjoyed by all who came to visit.
The weather in March was unusually mild, lulling us into a false sense of Spring before the end of the month, which meant we enjoyed some busy weekends early in the season.
Bottle Feeding our Baby Goats proved tremendously popular, selling out almost immediately, and will be repeated again later in the year. Our Easter Event, The Bouncing Bunnies Easter Trail, started to take shape in our woods with very tempting Easter eggs coming into our stores ready for the event opening.
We all enjoyed contributing to the Quex efforts to help the people of Ukraine, by collecting aid, loading several lorries at the farm to take much needed food, drink and other goods to those who need it most.
With Easter on the horizon we look forward to seeing you soon at the farm!
